FactoryTalk Optix v1.8
A scale-out release introducing three-node High Availability, workstation clients, Base + Extended runtime licensing, ThinManager-managed containers, an AI documentation assistant in Studio, and richer MQTT data exchange.
Key changes
- Three-node High Availability: Deploys the runtime to a Kubernetes-based cluster with automatic failover and a virtual IP, licensed with new Extended Feature Tokens instead of separate runtime licenses.
- Workstation clients and ThinManager integration: Installs Optix applications on workstations from the browser and runs them in ThinManager-managed containers with user single sign-on.
